Time to Time, Secure Storage, due to abandoned or delinquent self storage, RV Storage, or Boat Storage accounts, conducts public auctions. These auctions are in accordance with the Storage Rental Agreement, State, and Local Self Storage lien laws. We partner with StorageTreasures.com to conduct the lien sales. What should you expect when you place your bid for a Self Storage auction? It's super easy and convenient. Bids are placed in $10 increments, so you can bid as little or as much as you want. If you are the final bidder and the winner of the storage auction, our facility staff will reach out to you to confirm the sale of the auction unit. You will have 48hrs (two days) to pay the bid to the facility and vacate the unit. Most auctions have a cash $200 deposit on them and returned when the unit storage unit is emptied of all its contents (unless stated otherwise on the auction listing).
If you need additional time to vacate the storage space, you have the option to rent the storage unit, your first month rent is pro rated from the rental date to the end of the month and would follow the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
